Boy’s Choir sings everyday in the Basilica except on Saturdays, Christmas Holidays and in July . However the Choir sometimes sings abroad and is not in the Monastery.

 

MONTSERRAT AND GAUDÍ’S CRYPT – PRIVATE TOUR 5 hours

            Montserrat and Gaudí’s Crypt (World heritage site) are two visits easy two combine because they are almost on the same way.

Gaudi´s good friend and benefactor, Eusebi Güell, built a factory’s town known as Colonia Güell. The workers found in the colony everything they might need for their living: doctor, school, supermarket, church etc… In Güell’s colony the church was commanded to Gaudí; he could not complete it and just built the Crypt. Gaudi’s Crypt displays many of his innovations as the catenaries’ arches, the integration of a building in the landscape or the resourceful use of recycled material. On the other hand, in the town we can see how Art Nouveau applied to civil architecture.

MONTSERRAT EXTENSION WINE CELLAR. PRIVATE TOUR – 8 hours

            Montserrat and cavas match well. In the morning after the private guided visit of Montserrat you’ll have some free time. (Part of this time should be used for lunch). In the afternoon we’ll head south to visit a wine/cava cellar in Penedés region. The winemakers there obtain obtain a wine and cava of certified quality: Designation of Origin Penedés (Geographical Indications)

On the way we’ll see many vineyards and some traditional farmhouses. Once in the family run cellar, the host will show us around the winery explaining the wine /cava elaboration process. Cava it is a good quality Spanish sparkling wine similar to French Champaign. Of course there will be a wine tasting afterwards.
